The 15 year old boy defended by Heads of Chambers, Balraj Bhatia KC and James Varley, and the 13 year old girl, defended by Jeremy Benson KC and Phil Gibbs,  charged with the murder of grandfather in Braunstone Park, found guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The boy was charged with murder and manslaughter, but was acquitted of the more serious charge on Tuesday.

Neither defendant can be named because of their ages.

The boy was remanded in custody, while the girl was released on conditional bail.
