Pree joined No.1 High Pavement in 2023 having previously spent her time as in-house defence counsel in a legal 500 solicitor's firm. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2008, became a Solicitor-Advocate in 2010 and transferred to the Bar in 2016. As a result of this, Pree has a wealth of knowledge and experience of criminal law gained through a wide range of criminal cases.
Pree is experienced in defending in rape and serious sexual offences cases, in particular those involving young and vulnerable witnesses. She has also defended in the most serious violence and complex drugs cases. She has been led by King’s Counsel in several high profile cases attracting nationwide media attention. Pree has also successfully challenged cases in the Court of Appeal.
Pree is a passionate advocate who always works extremely hard to get the best result in her cases.

R -v- RT (2023) Northampton Crown Court
Defended a step-father accused of sexual assault. Cross examination of complainant aged 12 via section 28 method. Acquittal.
R -v- MS (2023) Court of Appeal
Appealed a complex Sexual Harm Prevention Order imposed by Northampton Crown Court upon a defendant with a complex mental disorder. Appeal upheld. Simplified Order granted.
R -v- VS (2022/2023) Northampton Crown Court
Defended in a multi complainant rape case with 9 jurors.
R -v- ST (2023) Northampton Crown Court
Defended in a multi complainant sexual assault case, cross examined complainants with severe mental health difficulties aged 6 and 7.
R -v- DV (2023) Court of Appeal
Appealed sentence length imposed by Nottingham Crown Court on a youth. Appeal upheld and sentence length significantly reduced.
R -v- FF (2022) Leicester Crown Court
Defended with Queen’s Counsel in a murder with issues of torture and complex bad character legal argument.
R -v- OH (2022) St Albans Crown Court
Defended in a 11 count indictment of Rape allegations. Cross examined complainant aged 6. Judge commended “excellent handling of such a young witness”.
R -v- NS (2022) Leicester Crown Court
Defended an adult female with mental age of 11 for wounding her ex-partner, also with severe mental health difficulties. Acquittal.
R -v- JB (2021) Warwick Crown Court
Defendant charged with s.18 OAPA 1861 where he had set alight the complainant. Described by Resident Judge as being “one of the most serious violence offences on our books”.

Defendant charged with possession of a knife. Acquittal
